Fellowships are awarded for an initial one-year term and may be renewed annually for up to two more years, based on satisfactory progress as reflected in academic performance and evaluations made by faculty advisors. The amount of the award is $20,000 which may be used as a stipend to defray living expenses, tuition, travel, books, supplies, and fees. An additional $2,000 is available by request for the faculty advisor's use in support of the student's research.
